Like many breast cancer survivors, Joy Dunn feels compelled to take her personal fight to the next level, to join the larger battle against the disease as a whole. As an admissions coordinator at Life Care Center of New Port Richey, Dunn is a front-row observer of the health care industry. The fight against breast cancer got a boost Sunday as 1,500 walkers crossed the finish line after walking 60 miles through Pinellas County. Their trek raised $3.7 million for the 2009 Tampa Bay Breast Cancer 3-Day. The walkers, many of them breast cancer survivors, started at Sand Key Park in Clearwater on Friday and walked through the communities of Largo, Seminole, Treasure Island and Madeira Beach.
