The Sun City Center Front Porch Pickers got together at the folk music group's weekly, foot-stompin' practice and performance. Held from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Heritage and Armstrong rooms of the Atrium, the first hour is spent practicing and the second is an "open-mic" jam.
During a recent performance, members played acoustic and electric guitars, banjos, upright bass, fiddles and mandolins.
"This is the first time I've picked up my guitar in six months," said Pickers' member Robert Mills of Kings Point.
