Sun Towers honors those that give back

The annual Sun Towers volunteer recognition awards ceremony and banquet was held Aug. 20 in the retirement community's banquet hall. About 50 of the community's approximately 80 volunteers from Sun Towers and the surrounding area attended and included those who help as greeters, sing in the chorus, work in the gift shop, lead bingo or work for the chapel. "It's for all our volunteers and residents to come and to let them know they're appreciated," said Arlin Drummond, Sun Towers' activities director.
