Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies are on the hunt for a woman connected with a robbery at Superior Bank, 4842 Sun City Center Blvd., today at 12:23 p.m.
According to Debbie Carter, spokeswoman for the sheriff's office, the suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a demand note. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money before the woman left the bank. The suspect is said to have left in a taxi that dropped her off at the Wal-Mart store on Sun City Center Boulevard.
Deputies are looking for a Hispanic or black female in her late 20s to early 30s. She is described as being between 5 feet 3 inches and 5 feet 5 inches tall. She weighs between 150 and 160 pounds, and has straight black shoulder-length hair, which may have been a wig. She was wearing a black dress with a white design on it and had on heavy makeup.

Carter said female bank robbers are not necessarily rare.
"We've had some in the past," she said.
